In the morning, the sight was unbelievable. The sea had come up like 3 meters, which made the place look a lot different. Water was filled with dirt, plastic, rubbish and everything you can imagine from a fork to a rope. Still, the sun was shining so we started to plan our trip to the other side of the island to Long Beach, apparently the most beautiful beach in the world.
The trip was amazing! We walked and climbed through a real jungle! “Beware of snakes” and “do not walk alone in the jungle” signs made especially Sonja a bit nervous but
after all the girls felt pumped about
the whole experience. And when we got to the other side, the journey
was definitely worth it. Not necessarily the most beautiful beach in the world, but very beautiful. We spent good 4 hours just swimming and lying on the beach waiting for the sunset to come. Too bad a storm came earlier and because all the boats were leaving we had no choice but the leave as well. Luckily we saw the sunset from the boat. When we got back to our shore the sky was full of different kind of blue colors. Light blue, turquoise, dark blue, everything you can imagine. The storm was definitely about to hit the island so we jumped out of the boat and made our way back to our hostel in the dirty water. Before Anette had a change to yell at Sonja never jump in the water she was already jumping and some sort of rock/coral/wood cut her foot. She was in serious pain although the actual cut was pretty small. After the pharmacist-Sonja took care of her wound, she also took a little bit of pain killers. As known as free drinks, which we had 5 each offered by Island Boys. So after couple Sex On The Beaches she was feeling okay and after our huge burger dinner she felt no pain at all. After a great day and good drinks we went to bed and again, slept like babies.
